Students honored Native American culture by exploring their traditional Arts and Crafts.

Kindergarteners and 1st graders learned about totem pole carving in the Pacific Northwest, and made their own paper versions.

 

2nd and 3rd graders created a picture of native pottery, using symbolism.

4th and 5th graders explored the Ojibwe tradition of creating dream catchers.

 

Fall Festivities!

Kindergarteners designed and colored skulls for the Day of the Dead.

2nd and 3rd graders drew an illuminated pumpkin patch.

5th graders created adorned masks, displaying their individuality.

This display in the Abbot Pride showcase asks us to critique and evaluate works of art.

After being introduced to the still life paintings of French artist, Paul Cezanne, Kindergarteners constructed these mixed media masterpieces.

During the month of October, Abbot artists have been making a series of Fall projects that explore the natural world around them.

 

Kindergarteners traced leaves and created a watercolor resist with oil pastel.

1st and 2nd graders made chalk sunflower drawings.

3rd and 4th graders created these mixed media leaf projects.

5th graders drew fantastic feathered friends and colored them with chalk.
