Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

2nd graders created paper molas after looking at examples of Panamanian textiles.

3rd graders made yarn paintings in the tradition of the Huichol people of Mexico.

It's Youth Art Month!

During March, Abbot student artwork is on display at Lena, 226 S. Main St.

Math in the Art Room

In preparation for Abbot's Math Night, fourth graders drew a bird's eye view of a landscape incorporating multiplication facts. 

During Math Night, families worked together to create artworks integrating math concepts.

Abbot Art is on display at St. Joseph's Hospital, Reichert Center until the end of February.

Students honored Native American culture by exploring their traditional Arts and Crafts.

Kindergarteners and 1st graders learned about totem pole carving in the Pacific Northwest, and made their own paper versions.

 

2nd and 3rd graders created a picture of native pottery, using symbolism.

4th and 5th graders explored the Ojibwe tradition of creating dream catchers.

 

Fall Festivities!
